Onesock is on Twiter

A blog for dogs who take their owners on daily WALKIES.

I, Onesock Dog, was born in a Cape Town squatter-camp.
My first daddy put me in a P&P plastic bag and tried to sell me, at the traffic lights on Blaauwberg rd., for booze money.
BAT (The Blaauwberg Animal Trust) and My New Daddy saved on me on New Year’s Eve 2005.

Thanks Daddy for not letting me become a Pit-bull- practice has-been.

BAT NEWS

  2012

The old BAT shop closed their doors  after the sale of their hired premises.
They could no longer afford the rent it was sold.

If we receive any more  news about the money they collected for charity,    we shall post it on this blog still,
but we lost contact with the volunteers, when everybody went their own ways,
after we moved from the area.

The BAT vision was to collect money for the building of an animal anti-cruelty facility for the less fortunate in Blaauwberg.

This blog now has a new fun purpose, to imagine what how our animals see us.

A wise person once said:   "It is better to have tried and failed, than never to try at all"

Many people and animals lives were touched while the BAT (Blaauwberg Animal Trust) was operational.
OneSock for one, would have had a much different future if she was not rescued from the Squatter camp where hunger and cruelty is commonplace.
